Harpoon Brewery – Windsor, Vermont
The Harpoon Brewery in Windsor is the second brewery for this company. The other is in Boston. The brewery was built in 1998 for $5 million dollars and had a capacity to brew 30,000 barrels a year. Because of the demand for this beer the plant was expanded to brew 55,000 barrels a year. Not only do they produce the Harpoon beer at the Windsor facility but they also have the Leviathan Series beers.
You are welcome to come the the Windsor Brewery and see what makes the brewery special. It features a produciton viewing area where you can see the Brew-house “up close” and learn about Harpoon. There is also a Brewery Store and restaurant for your pleasure.
The brewery is open during Presidents Weekend, Labor Day Weekend, Memorial Day Weekend, Columbus Day Weekend, MLK Weekend. They offer in-depth brewery tours
Friday 5 PM, 6 PM, and 7 PM
Saturday 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM (starting every hour)
Sunday 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM (starting every hour)
Description:
On Fridays and during the weekend we offer guided tours of the brewery. Learn all about Harpoon and get an up close and personal view of the brewing process. After the tour, all visitors over 21 years of age will enjoy a range of freshly-brewed Harpoon and UFO beers. You must be 21 years or older with proper ID to sample. The tours are really not for those under 21 but if there is space they can come along although they won’t receive a glass or sample.

If you are visiting during non-tour times they offer a Production Viewing Area where you can check out the Brewhouse “up close” and learn all about Harpoon. Feel free to request a free sample from the sampling area. Must be 21 years or older with proper ID to sample.
